Schoolmeeters captures MIAC title; Tone second

St. John's University sophomore Joe Schoolmeesters of Litchfield shot a two-under 71-71-72-214 to win the MIAC Men's Golf Championship title Monday at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids.

Schoolmeesters helped St. John's claim its third straight MIAC title.

Erik Tone, a Gustavus Adolphus senior from Willmar, finished second, shooting an even par 73-73-70-216, leading the Gusties to a second-place tie with Augsburg.

Concordia (Moorhead) junior Drew Dvorak of Litchfield led the Cobbers to fifth place, shooting 77-76-73-226.
