Officers from several law enforcement agencies are continuing to search for a 21-year-old Cosmos man who fled into a cornfield Tuesday afternoon.
According to Litchfield Police Chief Patrick Fank, officers from his department, the Meeker and Kandiyohi county sheriff's offices, the Minnesota State Patrol and the CEE-VI Drug Task Force are continuing to look for Devin Delbert Donald Blom this morning.
The search for Blom resumed this morning, Fank said, after officers had contact with the fu-gitive in the same area where he fled in the cornfield, west of Grove City, around 283rd Street and 530th Avenue.
Blom fled in a vehicle and then ran into the fields after officers attempted to arrest him Tuesday afternoon. Officers also served a search warrant on a home at 28132 County Road 25, just west of Grove City, and found controlled substances, drug paraphernalia and other contra-band.
Blom is wanted in Kandiyohi County on charges of first-degree burglary and in connection to an on-going drug sale investigation by the Litchfield PD. Officers also located items involved in the Kandiyohi County burglary.
