GRANITE FALLS -- A Hanley Falls man was not injured in truck-train accident around 8 a.m. Wednesday south of Granite Falls.

According to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office, Allen Stengel was driving a semi, pulling a trailer that was struck by a train as it crossed the tracks on 220th Avenue, just off of State Highway 23 north of Hanley Falls. The train struck the back end of the trailer as it crossed the tracks and pushed it into the ditch.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad workers reported an accident at 7:58 a.m. Deputies, the State Patrol, Upper Sioux Police, the Granite Falls Ambulance and Hanley Falls Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the scene.
