Semi driver suffers serious injuries in I-94 crash near Sauk Centre

SAUK CENTRE --A 50-year-old man was seriously injured after his semi truck veered off eastbound Interstate 94 and crashed into a bridge pillar on the westbound lanes near Friday.

SAUK CENTRE -A 50-year-old man was seriously injured after his semi truck veered off eastbound Interstate 94 and crashed into a bridge pillar on the westbound lanes near Friday.

Curt Willoughby of Fullerton, Calif, was airlifted to a St. Cloud hospital after the 9 p.m. crash, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The trailer ended up in the right lane, spilling its load of wheat and grain in the westbound lanes, the patrol said.
