LITCHFIELD –– A seminar and panel presentation on housing options for people with disabilities will be conducted from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 1 at Minnesota Archery, 30 W. 2nd St., Litchfield.
The event is sponsored by the Meeker County Community Transition Interagency Committee, made up of school, county, vocational and advocacy representatives who are charged with addressing present and future transition needs of students with disabilities
Panelists will include people with disabilities who are living on their own and family members who will speak about home modifications and consumer-controlled housing.
Arc United and Arc Kandiyohi housing access coordinators will speak about Arc’s housing program and provide a variety of real-life housing situations.
Special guest and speaker for the evening is Aaron Cross, who is an archer, motivational speaker and a quadriplegic.
Light refreshments will be available and a freewill donation is optional.
