A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for Yellow Medicine, Swift, western Chippewa and eastern Lac Qui Parle counties in west central Minnesota until 7 a.m. this morning. At 6:17 a.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 10 miles north of Benson to Montevideo to Minneota. This line of thunderstorms is moving east at 40 mph. This system has posted winds gusts in the 60 mph range. A wind gust of 65 was reported by the automated weather station at Madison..
