WILLMAR - A no wake advisory has been issued by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff for all lakes in the county.
The advisory was issued this morning by Sheriff Dan Hartog, who is advising boaters to not create wakes with any type of watercraft, including boats, pontoons and personal watercraft in an effort to prevent further erosion of shorelines.
Boaters are asked to reduce speeds and the Sheriff’s Office will have deputies patrolling the lakes to remind boaters of the advisory.
The advisory will be in place until water levels have retreated.
