GRANITE FALLS -- Law enforcement officials are continuing to work to identify the human remains discovered Saturday in Yellow Medicine County.

Yellow Medicine County Sheriff Bill Flaten said this morning that he was hoping to get identifying information from the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office in Anoka in the next few days.

A man who was scouting a spot to hunt in Stony Run Township called law enforcement around 4:30 p.m. Saturday and reported he believed he had found the remains of a human body.

Sheriff's deputies and agents from the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension collected the remains and sent them to the medical examiner's office for identification and autopsy.

The discovery comes nearly seven months after 27-year-old Eric Martinez Solorzano disappeared after calling his sister for a ride as he walked along a highway in the area where the remains were found.
