PAYNESVILLE -- Shirley A. Sand, 71, of Paynesville died Friday at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Burial will be in the St. Louis Parish Cemetery in Paynesville.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville. Memorials are preferred.
She was born June 2, 1936, in Sauk Centre to Albin and Vera (Neal) Eckberg.

She married Clarence Sand on May 6, 1954. She was a nurse's aid at the Paynesville Hospital for more than 20 years. She also worked as a physical therapy assistant at the Sauk Centre Hospital for more than 10 years.
She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville.
She is survived by her daughters: Susan (and Scott) Mertesdorf of Belgrade, Sandra (and Dennis) Stanger of St. Martin and Shelly (and Richard) Lecher of Belgrade; four grandchildren; and a sister: Betty Schaeffer of Sauk Centre.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; a son: Timothy in 1968; one brother and one sister.
