SPOKANE, WASH. -- Shirley A. Willford, 71, of Spokane, Wash., formerly of Willmar, died Monday at her home in Spokane.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Riplinger Funeral Home Chapel of Flowers in Spokane.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She was born March 14, 1935, in Willmar to Leonard and Ethel Gunderson. She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1953. She graduated from teacher's college in Stacy in 1954 and taught in a one-room schoolhouse.

She married Dean Willford in 1956 in Harmony. They later moved to Spokane. She taught science and mathematics in District 81 schools in Spokane.
She is survived by her children: Robert Willford of Deer Park, Wash., Marial Willford of Spokane, Wash., Jolane Stroh of Arlington, Wash., Stacy Wahl of Prosser, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and one sister: Dorothy Anderson of Coon Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
