WILLMAR -- Sigrid Gunvord Eliason, 94, of Willmar died Saturday at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
She was born Oct. 24, 1911, in Litchville, N.D., to Ole and Inga (Olson) Fostervold. She lived and attended Litchville schools through the 10th grade, when the family moved to Willmar. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1930. She continued her education at Fairview School of Nursing in Minneapolis and became a registered nurse in 1934. She returned to Willmar and worked at the State Hospital.

She married Alford Eliason on June 28, 1936, in Willmar. They lived in Willmar and she was a nurse and the director of nursing at Bethesda Heritage. She retired in 1973.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar and was Sunday school superintendent, a Girl Scout leader, and active with the ladies aid and Bible studies.
She is survived by her children: Vianne (and Byron) Brown of Vail, Colo., Adair (and Per) Halle of Hell, Norway, Naomi (and Bob) Pederson of Willmar, Jane (and Herb) Paulsen of Las Vegas, Nev., Jerome Eliason of Osseo; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Helen Berg, Harriet Baklund, Esther (and Louie) Hanson, James (and Roma) Fostervold, all of Willmar, Opal Lief of Owatonna, Wayne (and Wanda) Fostervold of Willmar, and Ruth Westphal of Cranberry Isles, Maine.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995; daughter: Sandra Creighton in 2004; two grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.
