Carol Skaja and John Goebel were united in marriage Oct. 15 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato.
The bride is the daughter of Tony and Doris Skaja of Lake Lillian. The groom is the son of Dick Goebel of Mankato and the late Eileen Goebel.
Matron of honor was Debbie Goebel, friend of the bride and sister-in-law of the groom. Bride's attendants were Lisa Rempfer, sister of the groom, and Michelle Reinert, sister of the bride. Flower girls were Morgan Goebel, niece of the groom, and Aubrey Skaja, niece of the bride.
Best man was Mark Goebel, brother of the groom. Groom's attendants were Tom Skaja, brother of the bride, and Jim Goebel, brother of the groom. Ring bearer was Steven Duncan, nephew of the bride.
Ushers were Paul Goebel, brother of the groom, Kevin Skaja, brother of the bride, and Jeremy Goebel, nephew of the groom.

A reception and dance were held at American Legion Post 11 in Mankato.
The couple is living in Mapleton. The groom is employed by Xcel Energy and the bride is employed by Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial Park Schools.
