Allison Smidt and Derek Preble are engaged to be married June 5 in Hastings.
Smidt is the daughter of Steve and Kim Smidt of Hastings.
She is a 2000 graduate of Hastings Senior High School and is pursuing a degree in clinical psychology. She is employed by American Bank in St. Paul.
Preble is the son of Jim Preble of South St. Paul and Linda Rozeboom of Murdock.
He is a 2000 graduate of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High School in Kerkhoven. He is employed as a petroleum driver by Kwik Trip in the Twin Cities.
