Laurel Smiglewski and Chad Christianson are engaged to be married July 24 at Granite Falls Lutheran Church in Granite Falls.
Smiglewski is the daughter of Dave and Cindy Smiglewski of Granite Falls.
She is a 2002 graduate of Yellow Medicine East High School in Granite Falls and a 2006 graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall with a bachelor's degree in psychology and social welfare. She is employed by Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Granite Falls as a student services adviser.
Christianson is the son of Earl and Rita Christianson of Granite Falls.
He is a 2001 graduate of Yellow Medicine East High School and a 2002 graduate of Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Granite Falls with a degree from the auto body technician program. He is self-employed as an auto body technician.
