MADISON -- Tiffany Volk scored on Amber Moen's single in the seventh inning to give Lac qui Parle Parle Valley a 4-3 win in the opening game of a West Central South Conference doubleheader with Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Thursday.
The Falcons used an 11-hit attack in the second game to win 9-6.
Tiffany Schultz, Ashley Schmeling, Bethany Nelson and Stephanie Nelson all had two hits apiece in Game 2 for ACGC (2-4, 3-5).
Moen went 3-for-4 and Beth Brustuen doubled in two runs in the opener for LQPV (4-2, 7-4).
