SAUK CENTRE -- Kasie Rust tossed a no-hitter and Laura Tvrdik had three hits as Minnewaska Area blanked Sauk Centre 2-0 in a West Central North Conference game Tuesday.
Rust walked two and struck out 11 in her complete game.
The Lakers (3-0, 4-0) opened the scoring in the third inning when Tvrdik led off with a triple and scored on Javen Pauley's single. In the sixth inning, Ashley Olson singled, Ashley Chan walked and both runners moved up on a wild pitch before Tvrdik's groundout plated Olson with the second run.

Melanie Mages, Amanda Skalicky, Jessica Engler and Chelsey Hansen had three hits apiece for Paynesville. Skalicky drove in four runs and scored four times.
