WILLMAR –- The Willmar Fests beach party that had been planned this evening at Robbins Island in Willmar has instead been moved tonight to the Willmar Civic Center due to the weather, and the band that was scheduled to play outdoors tonight as part of the festivities will go on-stage a little after 8 p.m. tonight at the Civic Center.

James Miller, Willmar Fests board vice president, said the beach party will go on until around 11 p.m. and the band Hitchville is set to hit the stage shortly after 8 at the Willmar Civic Center.

The Little Crow Ski Team show and fireworks that had been scheduled for tonight have been postponed until Sunday. The ski show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, free of charge, at Robbins Island in Willmar and the fireworks will be at 10 p.m. Sunday. The ski show will be free of charge because of the postponement, Miller said.

The schedule has been updated on the Willmar Fests website at  http://willmarfests.com/schedule.htm
