GRANITE FALLS -- Sonja Lee Elsie Peterson, 65, of Granite Falls died Saturday at the St. Cloud Hospital, after a battle with amyloidosis and heart disease.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Burial will be at the Granite Falls City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
She was born Feb. 2, 1941, in Chippewa County to Arnold and Cynthia (Lamp) Siverhus. She attended school in Maynard and graduated from Maynard High School in 1959.

She married Kenneth Nels Peterson on Oct. 10, 1959. She worked as a nanny for the Volstad family, was a nursing assistant at the Granite Falls Hospital and was a partner in the family resort business.
She is survived by her husband; children: Pamela (and Gregory) Wilkening, Barry (and Jodi) Peterson, all of Granite Falls; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; her mother of Maynard; and her siblings: Ronald (and Susan) Siverhus of Maynard, Donald (and Carol) Siverhus of Montevideo, and Karleen (and Thomas) Williamson of Maynard.
She was preceded in death by her father; and one granddaughter.
