Spicer man injured in rollover crash Sunday afternoon near Clara City

According to the crash report, Kenneth Myron Nelson, 71, was transported to Carris Health - Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar for non-life-threatening injuries after his 1999 Chevrolet Malibu went off the roadway on Minnesota Highway 7 and rolled into a ditch in Stoneham Township.

CLARA CITY — A Spicer man was injured during a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday afternoon near Clara City, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to the crash report , Kenneth Myron Nelson, 71, was transported to Carris Health - Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar for non-life-threatening injuries after his 1999 Chevrolet Malibu went off the roadway on Minnesota Highway 7 and rolled into a ditch one mile west of Clara City in Stoneham Township.

Nelson's airbag did not deploy and he was not wearing his seat belt, according to the State Patrol.

Alcohol was not involved and road conditions were dry, according to the crash report.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office also responded to the incident, reported at 1:03 p.m. Sunday.
