WILLMAR -- A driver distracted by her spilled pop started a three-car crash around 6 p.m. Tuesday at First Street and Kandiyohi Avenue.

According to the Willmar police crash report, Emma Koeberl, 18, of Hector, was pulling out of McDonald's to go south on First Street when she became distracted by the spill. Her car, a 1999 Pontiac, struck a 1993 Chevy driven by Armando Rodriguez Jr., 17, of Willmar, which struck a 2001 Ford driven by Ashley Standfuss, 24, of Willmar. Both the Rodriguez and Standfuss vehicles were stopped at the semaphore and waiting to proceed south on First Street.

A passenger in Rodriguez' vehicle, 15-year-old Anna Rodriguez, complained of neck pain, but was not transported for medical attention. No one else, including two additional juvenile passengers in Rodriguez' vehicle, was hurt. Charges are pending in the case.
