CLARKFIELD -- Stanley George Carlson, 84, of Clarkfield died Sunday at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Community Bible Church in Montevideo. Burial will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens in rural Montevideo.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
He was born Oct. 5, 1921, in Starbuck, Manitoba, to John and Caroline (Christensen) Carlson. The family moved to Clarkfield when he was seven. He attended school in Clarkfield.

He married Elsie Appelseth on Oct. 10, 1959. They lived on the farm until moving into Clarkfield five years ago.
He is survived by his wife; sister: Frances Werner of Montevideo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
