CLARA CITY -- The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal accident east of Clara City, and traffic on state Highway 23 is being detoured around the scene.
The State Patrol's website says the crash was between a tanker truck and a pickup about 3 miles east of Clara City. It was reported at 4:41 p.m. today.
The report did not have any details about the drivers or specifics about the crash.
Local law enforcement members were assisting, and traffic on Highway 23 was being detoured on gravel roads east of Clara City. A man who appeared to be a firefighter or rescue squad member was directing traffic at the main intersection of Highway 23 in Clara City to ease the traffic backup created by the detour.
