State Supreme Court Justice to speak in Willmar

WILLMAR -- Minnesota Supreme Court Associate Justice Paul H. Anderson is scheduled to visit the Willmar community Wednesday to speak about issues affecting the judiciary branch.

WILLMAR -- Minnesota Supreme Court Associate Justice Paul H. Anderson is scheduled to visit the Willmar community Wednesday to speak about issues affecting the judiciary branch.

Anderson will be in town all day, beginning his tour at the Willmar Senior High School in the morning. At noon he is scheduled to speak at the regular meeting of the Lions Club at the Willmar Senior Center.

From there, he will travel to Luther Hall at Bethel Lutheran Church, 411 Becker Ave. S.W., for an information meeting hosted by the Kandiyohi County Bar Association. The 2:30 p.m. meeting in downtown Willmar will be open to the public and will be an opportunity for leaders in the community as well as judges and lawyers from west central Minnesota to hear from an active member of the judiciary.

Anderson is the second member of the Minnesota Supreme Court in terms of length of service. He is active in studying law and briefs of lawyers as well as writing opinions for the Court.
