Student involved in BOLD bomb threat pleads to felony

OLIVIA -- A BOLD High School student responsible for a bomb threat at the school Nov. 20 pleaded guilty and was sentenced Dec. 11 on a felony charge of terroristic threats.

OLIVIA -- A BOLD High School student responsible for a bomb threat at the school Nov. 20 pleaded guilty and was sentenced Dec. 11 on a felony charge of terroristic threats.

According to a news release from the Renville County Attorney's Office, the student was suspended for most of the remaining school year after confessing to the bomb threat.

Judge Randall Slieter stayed adjudication of the sentence Dec. 11 and placed the student on probation. Under the conditions of the sentence, the student was ordered to serve 30 days at Prairie Lakes Detention Center. The student was also ordered to pay restitution for the expenses of the lockdown and search of the high school, according to the release.
