Colorado Rockies leadoff hitter Cory Sullivan tied a major league record on Sunday by hitting two triples in the same inning.
Sullivan hit a leadoff triple to the base of the center-field fence off Padres ace Jake Peavy in the fifth inning, then got a two-out triple against Chan Ho Park.
It was the 11th time a big leaguer hit two triples in an inning, and the first since 1951.
