WILLMAR - A 21-year-old Willmar man was arrested Saturday night for allegedly threatening another man with a shotgun in southwest Willmar.
The suspect remains in Kandiyohi County Jail pending felony charges of second-degree assault and terroristic threats, according to police reports.
A man allegedly reported to police that he saw the suspect run through a stop sign near his property at the intersection of 15th Avenue and 16th Street Southwest, Willmar police officials said.
After the man reported this to police, the suspect allegedly returned to the intersection around 3:13 p.m. Saturday and a verbal altercation ensued. The suspect then allegedly reached into his pickup truck and pulled out a shotgun, threatening the other man.
According to police reports, Willmar police located the suspect around 11 p.m. at the intersection of 16th Street Southwest and Monongalia Avenue, where they performed a traffic stop and arrested the suspect.
