SPICER — A flock of swans endured subzero temperatures Monday along the shores of Green Lake in Spicer.

Trumpeter swans in Minnesota tend to overwinter in central or southern Minnesota, rather than migrating farther south, according to the according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources . These birds have chosen to reside on Green Lake, which has not yet completely frozen over.
