WILLMAR -- Andy Nicklawsky won both the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle, helping the Willmar Cardinals swim past Rocori 98-84 in Central Lakes boys swimming and diving Thursday.
Nicklawsky hit a season-best 23.46 in the 50 and a personal-best 52.63 in the 100. Kyle Schmidt won the 200 freestyle in a personal-best 2:04.06.
"We swam very well for being tired," said coach Carl Shuldes of the Cardinals.
Rocori senior Marcus Rein put on an extraordinary diving performance to delight the crowd. He finished seven points shy of the pool record with a 263 score.
