WATSON -- Sylvester Burnett "Christy" Christenson, 85, of Watson died Saturday at Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be this afternoon and evening at Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo, with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

He was born March 7, 1920, in Chippewa County to Carl and Alma (Alstad) Christenson. He served in the U.S. Army Calvary in the Philippines during World War II.
He married Norma Tongen on Jan. 22, 1944, near Canby. They lived on a farm southwest of Montevideo for a year, in Montevideo for eight years, and then for many years lived two miles southeast of Montevideo. Norma died March 25, 1975. He worked as a truck driver for many years and at Monte CB Sales. He later lived in Clarkfield, Watson and Copper Glen.
He was a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his daughters: KeEtta (and Paul) Enevoldsen of Montevideo, Colleen (and Gordy) Jordahl of Dawson; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Aleda (and Marvin) Walstrom of Northfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one sister and an infant brother.
