In conjunction with National Prescription Drug Take-back Day on Saturday, sheriff's offices in Meeker and Renville counties are holding community take-back events, allowing the public to safely dispose of unneeded and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Times and locations are as follows:
Meeker County
* 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Law Enforcement Center lobby, 326 N. Ramsey, Litchfield. Meeker County also operates a permanent drop box in the lobby of the Sheriff's Office that is open seven days a week.
Renville County

* 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bird Island Fire Department, 660 Birch Ave., Bird Island.
* 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Hector Community Center, 130 Main St. S., Hector.
* 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Renville County Government Center, 105 Fifth St. S., Olivia.
* 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Renville Police Department, 107 Dupont Ave. E., Renville.
