WILLMAR -- A drop box for disposing of unneeded, leftover or expired prescription and over-the-counter drugs is operated by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office. It's located in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center, 2201 23rd St. N.E., Willmar.
The lobby is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After hours, the public can enter the lobby by buzzing the law enforcement dispatch center.
Medication should be left in its original container. Individual identifiers, such as a person's name, should be removed or blacked out on the label but the name of the drug and other content information should be left intact.
