Teen killed in crash involving a semi driver from Cosmos

The name of a 17-year-old driver who was killed in a crash Monday with a semi is expected to be released at noon today.

KIMBALL — A semi driver from Cosmos was involved in a two-vehicle crash Monday in Stearns County that killed a teen driver from Pipestone.

The accident was reported at 8:28 a.m. on state Highway 15 and County Road 146, north of Kimball.

According to the State Patrol, a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 17-year-old female was going west on County Road 146, failed to stop and collided with a 2016 Mack semi driven by Jeremiah Evan Andreoff, 43, of Cosmos, that was going north on Highway 15.

The name of the teen will be released at noon today.

Andreoff had non-life-threatening injuries and was not taken to a medical facility.


Roads were icy at the time of the crash, according to the accident report.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Ambulance, Kimball Fire Department and the Minnesota Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
