Teenager injured in Wednesday evening rollover crash in Redwood County

According to a news release, a teenager was traveling north on Redwood County Road 1 in a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer when they lost control of the vehicle while entering a curve in the road.

REDWOOD FALLS — A 16-year-old was transported to Carris Health Redwood Hospital for injuries suffered in a Wednesday evening rollover crash south of Redwood Falls, according to a Redwood County Sheriff's Office news release.

According to the release, the teenager — who was not identified in the news release — was traveling north on County Road 1 in a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer when they lost control of the vehicle while entering a curve in the road.

The vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of traffic, entered the west ditch and rolled, finally resting on its roof.

The teenager was able to exit the vehicle and flag someone down to call 911.

The 16-year-old was transported to Carris Health Redwood Hospital in Redwood Falls for their injuries.

The vehicle was totaled.

The Morgan Ambulance and Clements First Responders also responded to the incident reported at 6:26 p.m. Wednesday.
