LITCHFIELD -- Three teen drivers suffered only very minor injuries during a three-car crash around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday along 11th Street West in Litchfield.

The vehicles involved in the crash included a 2001 Jeep driven by a 16-year-old Litchfield girl, a 2001 Ford driven by a 17-year-old Litchfield boy and a 1994 Chevy driven by a 16-year-old Litchfield boy.

According to city Police Chief Patrick Fank, the vehicles were in a line of cars waiting for children to board a school bus and glare from the sun and driver inattentiveness may be con-tributing factors.

After the crash, two of the vehicles involved became engulfed in fire, which was extinguished by the Litchfield Fire Department.

The teen drivers -- their names are not being released -- were taken by private party to Meeker Memorial Hospital to be checked over, Fank said.
