Tennis: NLS turns back YME

GRANITE FALLS -- New London-Spicer swept all three doubles matches and won two three-set matches in singles en route to beating Yellow Medicine East 6-1 in a West Central Conference dual Tuesday.

David Bloomquist-Colin Wright (1-doubles), Austin Lothert-Ryan Woodhull (2-doubles), Robbie Pieh-Alex Wiegmann (3-doubles) and Jackson Wright (3-singles) all won their matches in straight sets for the Wildcats (2-0, 3-3).

YME (0-2, 1-3) got its lone point at 1-singles when Eric Dubbelde beat Nick Thompson 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.
