GRANITE FALLS -- Thelma Berg, 96, of Granite Falls died Friday at the Granite Falls Manor.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bergen Lutheran Church in Stony Run Township. Burial will be in church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.
She was born April 22, 1910, in Stony Run Township to Thomas and Bertina (Eide) Benson. She attended rural school in District No. 4. She graduated from the Lutheran normal school in Madison and from the Montevideo teachers' training department. She spent eight years teaching in rural Yellow Medicine County schools.

She married Stewart Berg on June 16, 1940, in Stony Run Township. The lived on the Berg farm until 1985 when they moved to Granite Falls.
She was a lifetime member of the Bergen Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two children: Leslie (and Meredith) Berg of Hudson, Wis., Corrine (and Keith) Benson of Robbinsdale; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five siblings: Ruth Laemmle, Minnie Johnson, Linda (and Hilman) Korstad, Thoralf (and Myrtle) Benson and Oliver Benson.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994; three brothers and three sisters.
