MADISON -- Theodora Berma "Teddy" Fossen, 88, died Thursday at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
The service will be at 2 p.m., today at Faith Lutheran Church in Madison. Burial will be in Minnesota Valley Lutheran Cemetery near Louisburg
She was born May 28, 1920, in Appleton to Theodore and Bertha (Shelstad) Olson. She graduated from International Falls High School in 1938. She graduated from licensed practical nursing training at Lake Area Technical School in Watertown, S.D. in 1970.
She married Kenneth Fossen on Feb. 22, 1941, in Granite Falls. Over the years she worked as a maid, waitress, cook in a restaurant and a hospital. She also worked as a farm hand, a gift wrapper in a department store, an ordering clerk for a dime store, and an assembly line worker in an ammunition plant. As a drill press operator, she worked on the Nordin Bomb Sight. She was the bookkeeper for Kenneth's excavating and plumbing business and his Standard Oil station and also kept the books at the Madison Milling Company. She worked as a nurse and charge nurse in hospitals and nursing homes and retired as assistant supervisor of central processing and distribution at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
She is survived by six nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.
