WILLMAR -- Thomas "Tom" W. Samuelson, 67, of Willmar and formerly of Spicer, died Friday at the St. Cloud Area Hospital.

The service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.

He was born on March 13, 1939, in Sacred Heart to Arthur and Julia (Jacobson) Samuelson. He grew up in Sacred Heart and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1957. On June 19, 1959, he married Sandra Halvorson. They lived in Rochester for more than 16 years and in 1976, they moved to the Spicer area and purchased Duanes Bay Resort on Nest Lake. He was also employed for many years at Willmar Manufacturing Company. In 1994, they sold the resort, retired and moved to Eagle Lake near Willmar.

He is survived by his wife; children: Terry (and Linda) Samuelson of Spicer, Joel Samuelson of Spicer and Holly (and Jim) Stalboerger of Richmond; four grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy (and Red) Sutter of Chanhassen, Jean (and Harvey) Busack of Echo and Anita (and Duane) Prairie of Minneapolis; and brother: Jim (and Janet) Samuelson of Willmar.
