Three cars crash in Raymond

RAYMOND -- Three cars collided at an intersection in Raymond Thursday afternoon when a 23-year-old Montevideo woman attempted to turn into the Apol's Harley Davidson parking lot.

RAYMOND -- Three cars collided at an intersection in Raymond Thursday afternoon when a 23-year-old Montevideo woman attempted to turn into the Apol's Harley Davidson parking lot.

Radina Tweeter had slowed to make the left handed turn when her car was rear-ended by Buick Regal driven by Glenn Fritschue, 60, of Montevideo. Fritschue's car was sandwiched after a Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Melisa Pankratz, 31, of Clara City rammed into the rear of his car.

The crash happened around 3:04 p.m. along state Highway 23. Tweeter and Pankratz were taken to Rice Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Three children traveling with Tweeter were also taken to the hospital for examination. The Minnesota State Patrol said that none of the children were hurt in the crash.

Another passenger in Tweeter's vehicle and Fritschue were uninjured in the crash.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Raymond Ambulance and Willmar Ambulance assisted at the scene.
