Three injured in Tuesday afternoon rollover crash near Willmar

Brianna Marie Bauer, 28, of Raymond, and Mahamed Ahmed Kadir, 26, of Willmar, suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital. The driver, Marcus Joel Ornelas, 19, of Willmar, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Carris Health — Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

WILLMAR — A single vehicle rollover Tuesday afternoon in Saint John's Township injured three people, according to the Minnesota State Patrol, including two passengers who were not wearing seat belts.

Brianna Marie Bauer, 28, of Raymond, and Mahamed Ahmed Kadir, 26, of Willmar, suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital. The driver, Marcus Joel Ornelas, 19, of Willmar, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Carris Health — Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

According to the crash report, Ornelas was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban eastbound on state Highway 40 near Kandiyohi County Road 7 when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled.

Ornelas was wearing his seat belt; his passengers, Kadir and Bauer, were not.

Road conditions were dry and alcohol was not involved, according to the State Patrol.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office, Lifelink, Raymond Fire Department and Ambulance and Pennock Fire Department and Ambulance also responded to the incident, reported at 3:51 p.m. Tuesday.
