LITCHFIELD -- A car accident Sunday evening south of Litchfield left three people injured.
Damon Remmel, 42, of Grove City was turning west onto 250th Street in Greenleaf Township around 5 p.m. Sunday when his vehicle collided with a car traveling south on state Highway 22, according to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.
Remmel and his passenger were transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
The passenger of the other vehicle, driven by Brandi Horstmann, 22, of Watkins, was also taken to the hospital for injuries. Coddy Illg, 21, of Watkins, was transported by a private vehicle to Meeker Memorial Hospital, according to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.
Both vehicles were towed due to damages.

Also assisting in the accident were Minnesota State Patrol, Litchfield Rescue and Litchfield Fire Department.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
