Thunderstorm warning issued for parts of Kandiyohi, Meeker and Renville counties until 6:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

severe thunderstorm warning for southern Kandiyohi County, McLeod County, Meeker County, eastern Renville County , northwestern Sibley County, southeastern Stearns County, and western Wright county until 6:15 p.m.

At 5:09 p.m., trained spotters reported a line of severe thunderstorms with half-dollar size hail and destructive winds in excess of 75 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from Svea to Thorpe to 6 miles northwest of Fairfax and moving northeast at 50 mph.
