MONTEVIDEO -- Timothy John Roder, 58, of Montevideo died Saturday at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo and one hour prior to the service at the church. Military honors will be preformed by the Montevideo Honor Guard.
He was born March 24, 1950, in Montevideo to Leonard and Alice (Tulowetzke) Roder. He graduated in 1968 from Montevideo High School.
He became a lifetime certified welder in Salt Lake City, Utah. He spent one year with the Merchant Marine in Lake Superior. He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1972. He returned to Salt Lake City and worked there for 20 years. He moved back to Montevideo to help his parents in 1993 and continued welding for Swift Manufacturing.

He is survived by his siblings: Arlen (and Anita) of Sycamore, Ill., Roger (and Gloria) of Wayzata, Allan of Hanley Falls, and Arleth (and Scott) Torgeson of Watson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
