WILLMAR -- Timothy Orlin "Tim" Welch, 43, of Willmar died Tuesday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar after a 12-month fight with a rare kidney cancer.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
He was born Jan. 10, 1964, in St. Cloud, to Clarence and Maxine (Nordstrom) Welch. He was raised in Willmar and attended Lincoln Elementary School. In 1982, he graduated from Willmar High School. He worked as a sales associate at Wal-Mart and was a laborer for Minnesota Trap Line Products. He also was self-employed operating Minnesota Brand Tackle.

He was a past member of Little Crow Anglers. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud and Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar.
He is survived by his parents; and siblings: Jeff (and Becky) Behm of Raymond, Jodi (and Troy) Anderson of Blacksburg, Va., Scott (and Taffany) Welch of Sartell.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
