WILLMAR - Sen. Lyle Koenen, D-Clara City, and Rep. Dave Baker, R-Willmar, will conduct a town hall meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services Building Auditorium in Willmar.
The local legislators will speak with residents of District 17 about the 2015 legislative session and the recently concluded special session. They will also discuss issues to be addressed in 2016.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting and should park on the west side of the building. Both leaders said they are looking forward to the meeting and the ideas that could develop.
“I’m excited to share with folks the accomplishments from this session, and hear what people would like us to be focusing on as we look ahead to 2016,” Baker said, adding that his main focuses in 2016 will be transportation and tax relief.
Koenen said that bipartisan meetings like these can be beneficial for citizens.
“Meetings like this allow us to listen, learn, inform, and work together toward a shared objective: making our communities the best they can be,” he said.
