NEW LONDON - Community members from the New London area are invited to a Community Conversation at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the New London Fire Hall. Check-in starts at 6 p.m.
The evening will focus on two topics: preparing to celebrate New London’s 150th anniversary in 2015 and considering how the celebrations in 2015 can be part of a broader vision for New London’s future.
The meeting will open with a greeting from Mayor Bill Gossman, followed by a humorous, original dialogue about New London by April Kummrow and Abi Duly, members of New London’s Little Crow Players theatrical group. While establishing next steps for the 150th anniversary, attendees will get to know fellow community members and connect with people from civic groups and event organizers.
Those unable to attend the event are invited to get involved with planning for the 150th anniversary by contacting New London Community in Action at newlondoncia@gmail.com .
RSVPs are requested. For more information or to RSVP, contact Trudie Guptill, New London City Administrator, at 320-354-2444 or trudie@cityofnewlondon.us .
