LAKE LILLIAN — As work continues on the infrastructure improvement project in Lake Lillian, motor vehicle traffic on Kandiyohi County Road 8 through town will be rerouted for the next few months.
According to a news release from Kandiyohi County Public Works, County Road 8 will be closed between state Highway 7 and County Road 4. Drivers will instead be detoured using state Highway 7 and County Roads 2, 20 and 8 to the east and north of Lake Lillian.
The detour goes in effect starting the week of April 12. Weather permitting, the project is scheduled to be wrapped up in June.
Traffic will be open for local residents and businesses.
The city of Lake Lillian and Kandiyohi County ask drivers to be cautious in the work zone, slow down and drive with care through the work zone and the detour.
