DARWIN TOWNSHIP-A trailer detached from the hitch of a moving truck here while it traveled west on 250th Street, smashing into a van and causing a chain-reaction crash that injured the van's two passengers.
The crash happened at 3:40 p.m. Monday near 643rd Avenue.
According to the Meeker County Sheriff's Office, 74-year-old Luaine Weseman, of rural Litchfield, had been driving a 2016 Chevy Silverado with a trailer attached.
The trailer crashed into a 2004 Pontiac Montana, driven by Corey Rueckert, 41, of Grove City. The Montana was pushed into the ditch and rolled.
Rueckert and his passenger, Rachel Rueckert, 40, sustained non-life threatening injuries, the Sheriff's Office said. Corey Rueckert was transported by ambulance to Meeker Memorial Hospital; Rachel Rueckert declined transport.

Gold Cross Ambulance, Litchfield Rescue and the Litchfield Fire Department assisted the Meeker County Sheriff's Office on the scene.
