Train, semi collide near Raymond

RAYMOND -- Numerous first responders and members of law enforcement were at the scene Monday evening of an apparent train-semi crash near where the Kandi-Chippewa Line road intersects with the railroad tracks on the west edge of Raymond.
About 6:45 p.m., law enforcement was controlling traffic on Highway 23 as it slowly moved past the crash scene just off the highway.
A trailer was wrapped around the engine of a BNSF train, and a semitractor was in the ditch between the railroad tracks and state Highway 23.
No further details were immediately available on injuries or exactly how the collision happened.
