MAYNARD -- Troy Stanley Haats, 38, of Riverside, Calif., formerly of Maynard, died Nov. 12, as a result of a traffic accident.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Maynard Lutheran Church in Maynard.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
He was born Sept. 1, 1967, in Granite Falls to Stanley and Kathy (Hegna) Haats. He graduated from Maynard High School in 1986. He joined the Army National Guard when he was a junior in high school and served for six years. He earned a degree in fluid power from Granite Falls Vo-Tech. He moved to California and worked as a hydraulic technician for 17 years.

He is survived by his wife: Carmen of Riverside, Calif.; daughter: Hannah; his parents of Maynard; siblings: Todd (and Eva) Haats of Tucson, Ariz., Tanya (and Steve) Shogren of Lakeville; and paternal grandparents: Bert and Millie Haats of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
